Grass strip flying across the UK & Ireland
For lovers of grass strip flying, Neil's Farm Strips is a comprehensive scenery package covering farm strips from all around the UK and Ireland. It's designed to challenge you and improve your flying and navigation skills, whether you fly for real or from an armchair.
I have written and updated these airfields over many years. Most of the strips are built with custom objects, purely for the fun of it, and the package works well with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 (MSFS 2024 has a few limitations).
If you're a real pilot, Microsoft Flight Simulator's Bing scenery means you can recce a strip at home before you fly there for real.
Each version — MSFS 2020 or MSFS 2024 — costs a one-off £10, and for that you get over 90GB of UK and Ireland farm strip scenery plus a set of guide books.

Questions about Neil's Farm Strips
How much does Neil's Farm Strips cost?
Neil's Farm Strips costs £10 per version — MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 are sold separately (£20 for both), paid by PayPal. Neil then emails you the download link.
Does it work with MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024?
Yes. Neil's Farm Strips works well with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, with a few limitations in MSFS 2024.
How big is the download?
The full package is over 90GB of scenery, plus guide books. Make sure you have enough free disk space before you download.
Where are the airstrips?
The farm strips are spread all around the UK and Ireland. Some of the airport codes are fictional, so use the guide books and your navigation skills to find them.
Can real pilots use it?
Yes. Because Microsoft Flight Simulator uses Bing scenery, real pilots can fly to a strip in the sim before visiting it for real.
Why should I turn airport markers off?
Neil recommends leaving airport markers off, because finding a strip with a big marker pointing at it takes no skill. Some hard-to-find fields have end numbers to help you.
Should I remove Neil's earlier files first?
Yes. If you have any of Neil's earlier files installed, remove them before you install this one, so the old versions don't clash with it.
Will it clash with my other add-ons?
Occasionally. If you have Orbx Regional Scenery installed you may get the odd object clash, but it's no big deal. Terrain-altering add-ons can also affect where walls and fences sit.
Are the airfields exactly where they are in real life?
Most are built with artistic licence to make them more enjoyable to fly. To place the fields as accurately as possible, some runways have been moved slightly off the real field, so take no notice of the details shown on the home screen.
